the past week

Well we had to postpone the first Birthday party. :(   Everyone (except Brianna) came down with a cold. We've had them a week now. It's awful. I took the babies in last night to be checked and Jackson has a dual ear infection. Addison just has a cold. Thankfully no RSV or Flu!!  I hope the coughing passes quickly because it seems like it hurts them. 

Jackson has gotten his 5th tooth also the last couple of days while being sick!! Addison's bottom two teeth are still coming in (they have taken forever to really start being able to see with the eye vs touch).   Besides teeth, Addison has started clapping this past week!! She LOVES to clap her hands. :)  She is so cute while doing it too (well she's cute all the time but you know what I mean). 

Brianna is doing good.  Although i think she is finally coming down with the cold that we all have. I was hoping she wouldn't get it.  She is getting so big. She has started spending more and more time with Friends at their houses. I let them come over to our house as well quite often... I want her to feel like she can (and wants) to bring her friends home.

Happy First Birthday

March 12 2012 - It's my babies first birthday!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe the last year has gone by as fast as it has. They are amazing! They love to crawl and cruise along the furniture! No sitting still anymore for these two! We are trying more and more solid foods (mommy is having a hard time transitioning since they are still 9 months adjusted).

They are also still putting absolutely everything in their mouths. They love to try and eat paper!! Some of the favorite toys are their toy barn with animals and their mega blocks. Course they don't build with the mega blocks, they mostly just eat them and carry them all over the living room. They love items that play music as well.

Rattles still capture their attention as do books. Addison still uses the swing every once in a while but i'm sure we'll have to put it away pretty soon (it swings pretty slow). They both still love to bounce in their jumperoo's.

New favorite (when the weather is nice) is going for a walk in their wagon! They love it!! They love to climb on people if they are sitting on the floor :)

addison's first tooth!

Addison's first tooth (actually make that her first TWO teeth broke the surface tonight! (3/9/12) she is 9 months 4 days adjusted and just 3 days shy of 1 year actual age. I was really surprised it took so long considering Jackson has had 4 for awhile now.

Almost party time

I am having a really hard time believing that Jackson and Addison are going to be ONE year old in less than two weeks!! We are going to have a party on March 17th.

Addison's ultrasound

Addison's cranial ultrasound came back as Benign excess fluid outside the brain. The brain itself looked great. They are going to send it to a Neurologist to see if he wants to follow her and use this as a base ultrasound, even if it's only one checkup 6-8 months from now

Feb 25th

8 month NICU follow up

Jackson & Addison had their 8 month Adjusted NICU follow up appt today. Jackson is 20 lbs 6 oz and 27 3/4" long. Head 17/32" (44cm). They said he looks great, is strong and right on track for everything.
Addison is 19 lbs 5 oz, 28" long & head is 18.98" (48.2cm). Her head measurement is off the chart still and appears to be a larger % than at the 4 month adjusted appt. They are referring her for a pediatric Cranial ultrasound so they can see if there is anything going on with her brain. They also want her to do PT once a week for 3-6 months because even though she is crawling, standing, and even starting to cruise... she seems really loose. The paper actually says " to help increase trunk control & symmetry of movement".

Took Brianna for an MRI today... she has two hairline fractures in her femur (growth plate).  I hate it when any of my kids get hurt!  I had to pull her off the soccer team because of the injury. I hope she heals quick.

2/7/12 - Jackson and Addison are both pulling up on everything now!

2/3/12

Both Jackson & Addison are crawling on their hands and knees!!!  It is so cute to watch them playing together. They both start laughing at each other and it makes me just want to laugh too!

1/29/12

Jackson went from laying on his tummy to sitting up all by himself this morning! He hasn't done it again yet but he knows how!!! He also decided to pull up to a standing position on one of his toys (which of course they both ended up toppling over a minute or so later)!
